This brochure provides an overview of how ADB and the Government of Azerbaijan work together to help the country achieve more diversified, inclusive, and sustainable growth.
 
As Azerbaijan’s largest multilateral development partner, ADB has mobilized over $5 billion in financing support for the country since 1999. So far, ADB-assisted projects and programs have delivered reliable drinking water to 485,000 people, provided flood protection to 240,000 people, ensured electricity access for 100,000 households, and built or upgraded 325 kilometers of roads. The brochure features a timeline of ADB support with key highlights and milestones. It also introduces ADB’s new country partnership strategy with Azerbaijan, covering the period 2019–2023.
