[정책] Assessment of Member States’ progress in Programmes of Measures during the second planning cycle of the Water Framework Directive - Member State : Lithuania

Directive 2000/60/EC also known as the Water Framework Directive (WFD) requires Member States, under Article 11, to set up a Programme of Measures (PoM) as part of the River Basin Management Plan (RBMP) that must be submitted every six years. According to Article 15.3 of the WFD, an interim report of the implementation of the planned PoM has to be submitted within three years of the publication of the RBMP or any update thereof. The Commission, under Article 18 of the WFD, should inform the European Parliament, the Council and the public on the progress in the implementation of the WFD. According to the WFD, the 2nd RBMP was due by December 2015 and therefore the interim reports on the implementation of PoM were due by December 2018. As with the previous interim reporting, an assessment was done by the Commission with the aim of having an implementation report to inform the European Parliament and the Council at the latest three years later. The PoM assessments reflect the situation as reported electronically to the Water Information System for Europe (WISE) database by each Member State to the Commission by end 2018.
