The expected outcome targets of the multitranche financing facility (MFF) program were enhanced productivity, water-use efficiency, and sustainability of irrigated agriculture in selected existing schemes in the river basins that had a 215,000 ha designed command area, and improved institutional performance of irrigation service delivery with PIM and water resources management with integrated water resource management (IWRM). The expected outcome of the project 2 was increased productivity of agriculture in selected river basins in Orissa. The program was to cover six major and nine medium-sized existing (low-performing) irrigation schemes and about 1,400 existing community-based minor lift irrigation (MLI) schemes.
